Frequently Asked Questions

Why have the purples on our WorkCentre 6605N drifted toward blue?

Purple is a two-cartridge color: magenta and cyan laid down together. When everything is healthy the mix reads violet; as the magenta cartridge fades, cyan wins by default and purples slide toward blue, while reds drift the other way, toward orange. Both symptoms arriving together is the classic signature of a magenta cartridge at the end of its life — and the 106R02226 is the one that answers it.

WorkCentre 6605, 6605N, 6605DN — three model names. How many magenta cartridges do they need between them?

One. The suffixes describe features — networking, duplexing — not different supply systems. All three WorkCentre variants, and the Phaser 6600 line beside them, take the same magenta cartridge, and this listing is that cartridge in its high-yield form.

Which models does this listing cover?

The Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN, Phaser 6600YDN, WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605DN — with the 6605N sitting in the same family between the two linked WorkCentre models.

How long should 6,000 pages last on a networked multifunction?

It depends on the color share of what the machine actually does. A 6605N printing mostly black text with occasional color will sip magenta for months; one copying color material daily will work through the rating far sooner. The 5% coverage basis of the 6,000-page figure is the planning benchmark, not a calendar.

What does the magenta in a color page cost?

Roughly 0.68 cents. The cartridge is $40.71 over a rated 6,000 pages — a small, predictable line item for keeping a shared multifunction's color honest.

What warranty and returns apply?

A 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year. Policy details are on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
