Frequently Asked Questions

We run two-sided color copies all day. How should we plan cyan for that?

Plan by faces, not sheets: a duplex copy consumes cyan on both sides, so a WorkCentre 6605DN doing two-sided color work moves through a cartridge at up to twice the sheet count a simplex machine would. The cartridge here — 106R02225, rated at up to 6,000 pages at 5% coverage — is the right unit to stock, and the sensible pattern for a duplex-heavy office is one in the machine and one on the shelf.

What changes on the page when cyan fades on a 6605DN?

The blue half of the spectrum goes first: copied charts lose their deep blues, green headings turn muddy and yellow-leaning, and two-sided pieces start to mismatch — the first side printed while the cartridge still had life, the later sheets drifting paler. Black text and copies of plain documents stay deceptively clean, which is why the fade often gets blamed on the scanner before anyone checks the toner.

Which machines share this cartridge?

The Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN, Phaser 6600YDN, WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605DN. This page is titled for the 6605DN; the cyan supply is the platform's common one.

The name reads "Toner Cartridges" — is this a multipack?

It is not. Each unit of this listing is one cyan cartridge at $40.71; the plural sits in the product-line title, not in the parcel. If your duplex volume calls for two, set the quantity to two — that is also how most 6605DN offices keep their shelf spare and their in-machine cartridge on the same order.

What does the cyan in a duplex copy cost?

At the rated yield, about 0.68 cents per printed face: $40.71 across 6,000 rated pages. A two-sided color copy therefore carries roughly twice that in cyan — still the cheapest line in the machine's running costs, and the figure to use when duplex color volume is being budgeted.

What warranty and returns apply?

A 1-year warranty, with free returns for a full year if the cartridge underperforms. The full text is on our shipping and returns page. We ship from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
