Frequently Asked Questions

Do copies draw on this cartridge too, or only computer printouts?

Copies as well. A WorkCentre 6605 is a multifunction machine: when it copies a color original, it lays down toner from the same four cartridges it prints with. A busy copying routine — color handouts, marked-up charts, ID and document copies — consumes cyan exactly the way printing does, which is why a copy-heavy office can see the cyan warning arrive sooner than a print-only one.

Why do our copied charts look paler than the originals?

Because cyan is the first thing a copy loses. The scanner reads the original faithfully, but if the cyan cartridge is running low, the machine simply cannot put the blue back on the page: chart blues wash out, teal headings fade, and greens drift yellow. When prints from a computer show the same fade, the diagnosis is settled — this 106R02225 cartridge is the one to change.

Which machines does the 106R02225 serve?

The Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN, Phaser 6600YDN, WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605DN — one shared cyan supply across the platform, multifunctions included.

The panel says cyan is low but output still looks acceptable. Swap now or later?

The warning is an early notice, not a hard stop — there is still toner in reserve. The practical approach on a shared MFP is to order when the warning appears and swap when quality actually dips; an unopened spare keeps fine on the shelf, and a mid-job fade in front of a queue of users is the thing you are avoiding.

What yield and cost should we plan around?

Up to 6,000 pages per cartridge at the standard 5% coverage, at $40.71 — about 0.68 cents per page for cyan. Color copies of dense originals use more per page than light text documents, so a copy-heavy month will land below the rating while a print-light one can meet it.

What guarantee stands behind it?

A 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year. The details are on our shipping and returns page. We ship from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
