Frequently Asked Questions

What actually goes wrong first when a WorkCentre runs out of yellow?

Not the yellow things — the mixed ones. Black text keeps printing perfectly, which is why the problem hides, but every color built with yellow starts to drift: greens slide toward blue, oranges toward red, and photographs lose their warmth and turn cold. If a machine's color output has gone chilly while its documents still look fine, the yellow cartridge is the first suspect, and this 006R01510 is the standard replacement for the whole platform.

Why is this listing named for the whole WorkCentre line instead of one model?

Because the part genuinely is shared. Xerox built ten WorkCentre models across two generations around one supply design, so the yellow cartridge carries a platform-wide name rather than a single model's. This listing is the general one; the printer-specific listings elsewhere on the site are this same cartridge wearing a model's name, at the same $96.46.

What exactly do I receive if I order here?

One compatible yellow toner cartridge, part number 006R01510, rated at up to 15,000 pages — about 0.64 cents a page at the standard coverage the rating assumes. It fills the yellow position only; the black, magenta and cyan positions take their own cartridges, each a separate listing, each replaced on its own schedule.

Which ten models does this cartridge cover?

The full platform: the WorkCentre 7525, WorkCentre 7530, WorkCentre 7535, WorkCentre 7545, WorkCentre 7556, WorkCentre 7830, WorkCentre 7835, WorkCentre 7845, WorkCentre 7855 and WorkCentre 7970. If your machine's badge carries one of those numbers, this is its yellow.

I am not sure which color my machine is asking for. How do I check?

Let the machine tell you: its supply status screen names each color and its level separately, and the cartridge itself is labeled with its code. The yellow on this platform is 006R01510 — if the screen or the old cartridge shows that number beside the yellow position, you are looking at the right page. Order by that code rather than by color alone and there is nothing to mix up.

What if it arrives faulty or fades early?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year, under our shipping & returns page. A defective unit is replaced or refunded — whichever you prefer — and a healthy one is backed for its full rated life.
