Frequently Asked Questions

Why have my reds and purples started looking washed out?

That is magenta giving up before the other colors do. Reds, purples and most skin tones are built largely from the magenta cartridge, so when the 006R01511 runs low those are the shades that fade first — while blues and greens still look healthy. Faded reds on a WorkCentre 7525 are the classic signature of a magenta cartridge at the end of its life, and this single cartridge is the fix.

How far will one of these cartridges actually take me?

The 006R01511 is rated at 15,000 pages, which works out to roughly 0.64 cents of magenta per page at the $96.46 price. How long that lasts in your office depends on how color-heavy your printing is: a machine that mostly prints black text with a color logo sips magenta, while brochures and photo-heavy pages drink it.

Is this a full color set, or just the magenta?

Just the magenta — one cartridge, one color. These WorkCentres carry four separate cartridges, and each color is its own listing, replaced on its own schedule. If your screen names magenta as the empty supply, this is the only cartridge you need to buy today; the others will ask for attention in their own time.

Which printers does the 006R01511 serve?

One cartridge covers the whole family: the WorkCentre 7530, WorkCentre 7535, WorkCentre 7545, WorkCentre 7556, WorkCentre 7830, WorkCentre 7835, WorkCentre 7845, WorkCentre 7855 and WorkCentre 7970 take the same magenta as the 7525 — one part number across two machine generations.

What if the new cartridge prints streaky or pale straight out of the box?

Then it is a defective cartridge, not a printer problem, and it is covered: every cartridge we sell carries a 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year, set out on our shipping & returns page. Keep the box, get in touch, and we will replace it or refund you.

How quickly can I be printing again once I order?

Your cartridge ships from the nearest of our four warehouses — IL, PA, GA or CA — so transit stays short, and swapping a toner cartridge on a WorkCentre is a two-minute, no-tools job. If you want to check anything before ordering, support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
