Frequently Asked Questions

Why did the yellow bars in our charts all but disappear?

Yellow is the lightest of the four toners, and against white paper it has almost no contrast to spare. As the yellow cartridge runs down, yellow chart bars, highlight shading and pale background panels are the first things to thin out — a series that was clearly yellow on screen prints as a ghost of itself, then effectively vanishes, while the blue and magenta bars beside it still look strong. On a WorkCentre 7545 that pattern means the yellow supply, this 006R01510, is spent.

Our oranges have started printing red. Is that connected?

Directly. Orange is a two-toner color — magenta warmed by yellow. Remove the yellow and the same orange artwork lands as red or pink. Vanishing yellow bars and reddening oranges in the same week are two views of one empty cartridge.

Is the 006R01510 one cartridge or a pack?

One cartridge, for the yellow position, at $96.46. It is rated at up to 15,000 pages, which works out to roughly 0.64 cents per page. The other three colors in your machine are individual cartridges with listings of their own; nothing about this purchase commits you to changing them.

Which models take this yellow besides the 7545?

The whole ten-model platform shares it: the WorkCentre 7525, WorkCentre 7530, WorkCentre 7535 and WorkCentre 7556 alongside the 7545, and the newer WorkCentre 7830, WorkCentre 7835, WorkCentre 7845, WorkCentre 7855 and WorkCentre 7970.

We print charts all day. Will we burn through it faster than 15,000 pages?

Probably, and that is normal rather than a fault. The 15,000-page rating assumes 5% coverage per page; a dense chart can lay yellow across half the sheet. Offices living in spreadsheets and slide decks should budget by the coverage they actually print — the 0.64-cent figure is honest for mixed office work and optimistic for full-color graphics.

What cover do I get if something goes wrong?

A 1-year warranty, and free returns for a full year, under the terms published on our shipping & returns page. If the cartridge misbehaves at any point in that year, it comes back to us and you choose a replacement or your money back.
