Frequently Asked Questions

Does two-sided color printing draw cyan down faster?

Per sheet, yes — and that is arithmetic, not a fault. The DN in Phaser 6600DN means duplex plus network: the machine prints both faces of the sheet, and every color face lays down its own cyan. A 200-copy two-sided brochure run is 400 color faces' worth of toner. The cartridge still holds the same rated up-to-6,000 pages at 5% coverage; a duplex-heavy workload simply reaches the end of them in fewer sheets.

Our double-sided handouts have gone purplish toward the end of long runs. Why?

That is cyan depletion showing its hand. Purple is what blue becomes when magenta is no longer balanced by cyan, and long runs expose it first because the cartridge crosses from "low" to "fading" mid-job — the opening sheets look right and the closing ones drift. A fresh 106R02225 restores the balance; the pattern itself is the classic signature of this cartridge running out.

Which printers take this cartridge?

The Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600N, Phaser 6600DN, Phaser 6600YDN, WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605DN. This listing is titled for the duplexing 6600DN; the cyan supply is common to all six.

What does a two-sided color sheet cost in cyan?

The cartridge costs $40.71 and is rated at 6,000 pages, so each printed face carries about 0.68 cents of cyan at the rated coverage — a two-sided color sheet, roughly double that. It is the honest way to budget duplex color: by faces printed, not by sheets fed.

The listing name says "Cartridges" plural. How many arrive?

One cartridge. The plural is in the product-line naming, not the parcel: each unit of this listing is a single 106R02225 cyan cartridge. Offices running heavy duplex volume usually keep a second one on the shelf for exactly the mid-run fade described above.

What warranty and returns cover it?

A 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year. The complete policy sits on our shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
