Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a three-pack of black actually sized for?

A workplace that thinks about toner once a season instead of once a month. Three 106R01569 cartridges hold up to 72,000 pages of black between them — for most Phaser 7800 sites that is a quarter's worth of text, reports and proofs bought in a single order, with two spares always standing behind the cartridge in the machine.

What does the per-cartridge price drop to?

$100.02. Bought one at a time, three cartridges would run $337.02; this pack is $300.05, a saving of $36.97. It is the same extra-high-yield cartridge in all three boxes — the pack price rewards the quantity, it does not change the product.

What does black cost per page across the pack?

About 0.42 cents — $300.05 spread over up to 72,000 pages. That is the number to weigh against standard-yield alternatives: a cartridge that looks cheaper on the shelf but holds a fraction of the pages usually loses this comparison, because the per-page figure is where a heavy black workload actually spends its money.

Is everything in the pack black?

Yes, all three cartridges are the black 106R01569. The Phaser 7800's color slots are fed by their own separate cartridges with their own part numbers; this pack concerns itself with the slot that empties first and most often in most offices — the one behind the text, the invoices and the everyday proofing.

How should three cartridges be stored and used?

Keep the two spares sealed, flat, and somewhere cool and dry away from sunlight; toner powder does not dry out, so a sealed cartridge waits patiently. Work through them in the order they arrived — install one, and when the printer eventually calls for black again, take the oldest box from the shelf.

What warranty and delivery terms apply?

All three cartridges are covered by our 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year, per the terms on our shipping & returns page. Orders leave warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the wider range is on the Xerox supplies page.
