Frequently Asked Questions

The name says "Toner Cartridges" — how many are in the box?

One. This listing is named for the base Phaser 7800 and uses the plural out of habit, but what ships is a single black 106R01569 cartridge at $112.34. We would rather say so plainly here than let the box surprise you: if you want a spare on the shelf as well, the multi-packs in this family are the listings built for that.

Is this the same cartridge as the listing sold under the part number alone?

Identical. This page is titled by the printer — Phaser 7800 — while its twin is titled by the supply code, 106R01569. Same cartridge, same $112.34, same rating of up to 24,000 pages. Order from whichever listing you found first; what arrives is the same box.

Why does the base 7800's black cartridge hold 24,000 pages?

Because this platform was built for graphics and production work, where stopping for toner is expensive. The black supply is an extra-high-yield design: at $112.34 the toner costs about 0.47 cents per page, and a typical office can go the better part of a year between black changes.

Does this one cartridge cover the other 7800 versions too?

It does. The black cartridge is shared across the whole platform — the 7800DG, 7800DN, 7800DX and 7800GX take the very same 106R01569 as this base model. This listing is simply the one named after the original machine; the cartridge inside is the platform-wide black.

Black only, even though the 7800 prints color?

Black only. The three color positions in the printer run on their own separate cartridges, each with its own part number, and this listing fills none of them. It exists because black does most of the work in most 7800s — the text and line work underneath and alongside the color output.

What are the warranty and shipping terms?

A 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year, as detailed on our shipping & returns page. Orders ship from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, real people staff support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and everything else for the platform is gathered on the Xerox supplies page.
