Frequently Asked Questions
Five cartridges, four slots — what is the fifth one for?
It is a shelf spare drawn from the same four part numbers this printer uses: black 106R01510, cyan 106R01507, magenta 106R01508 and yellow 106R01509. Four cartridges load into the machine and the fifth stays boxed, so the next low-toner warning becomes a two-minute swap instead of a rush order.
Which color is the spare?
The listing does not fix it to one color, and the honest way to check is the label on the box when your order arrives. What is guaranteed is the family: every cartridge in this bundle is one of 106R01510, 106R01507, 106R01508 or 106R01509, the four numbers the Phaser 6700 range runs on.
How should I read the spare once it is on the shelf?
As a reorder signal. The day the spare leaves the shelf and goes into the printer, that slot no longer has a backup behind it — a good moment to place the next order while the machine keeps printing, rather than after it stops.
How much printing sits behind the installed four?
The black 106R01510 is rated near 18,000 pages and each color — cyan 106R01507, magenta 106R01508, yellow 106R01509 — near 12,000 pages at 5% coverage. On a shared departmental printer those are long intervals, and the spare stretches the gap before you have to think about toner again.
Does the set cover every Phaser 6700 variant?
Yes — the base 6700, the networked 6700N and 6700DN, and the 6700DT and 6700DX configurations all load the same four cartridges. One bundle therefore serves whichever variant your office runs.
What protection and delivery come with the $276.39 bundle?
Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA; the shipping and returns page sets out delivery times and how returns work. Support staff are on hand Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
