Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a five-pack actually for?

Two kinds of buyer: the single printer that prints relentlessly, and the site running several machines from these families. Because one part number — 106R02228 — feeds the black slot of every Phaser 6600 variant and every WorkCentre 6605 variant, a five-pack can serve a whole row of printers without anyone sorting out which cartridge belongs to which machine.

What does the volume pricing come to?

Five cartridges for $129.62 works out to $25.92 per cartridge — $73.93 less than five singles at $40.71 each. Across the pack's 40,000 rated pages, the toner cost lands at about 0.32 cents per page, the sharpest figure in this family.

How much printing is 40,000 pages?

It is a serious stockpile: 40,000 black pages is the annual output of a very busy department, or several years of supply for a moderate office. Bought at five-pack pricing, that whole horizon is covered at the lowest per-page cost this cartridge is sold at.

Any special handling for a stock of five?

Nothing exotic: keep the cartridges sealed in their packaging, stored flat in a normal indoor environment, and work through them oldest first. Toner does not ask for refrigeration or rotation schedules — a shelf in the supply room is all the infrastructure a five-pack needs.

Which printers run on this cartridge?

The Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600dn, Phaser 6600n and Phaser 6600ydn printers, and the WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605dn multifunction machines — all in the black slot, all on this one supply number.

What backs up a bulk purchase like this?

Every cartridge is covered by a one-year warranty with one-year free returns, per the shipping and returns page. Stock ships from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, help answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the rest of the catalogue is on our Xerox toner page.

About This 106R02228 Five-Pack

The volume end of the family: five compatible high-yield black cartridges, each rated at up to 8,000 pages, for $129.62. Stocking up at this level cuts the per-cartridge price to $25.92 and the per-page cost to roughly 0.32 cents — and because the same 106R02228 serves both the Phaser 6600 and WorkCentre 6605 lines, one box on the shelf covers every compatible machine in the office.
