Frequently Asked Questions

Why would one printer need three cartridges at a time?

Planning. A Phaser 6600 or WorkCentre 6605 in steady daily use burns through black toner on a predictable rhythm, and a three-pack turns that rhythm into one purchase instead of three. With up to 24,000 pages on the shelf, the black supply is settled for a long stretch — no mid-job stockouts, no emergency orders.

How does the three-pack pricing break down?

Three cartridges for $85.17 is $28.39 per cartridge, against $40.71 bought one at a time — a saving of $36.96 across the set. Per printed page, the toner cost falls to about 0.35 cents, noticeably below the single-cartridge figure of roughly 0.51 cents.

How long will 24,000 pages actually last?

That depends entirely on your monthly volume, and the arithmetic is simple: at 500 black pages a month, three cartridges cover roughly four years; at 1,000 a month, about two years; at 2,000 a month, about one year. However your office prints, the pack sizes up to a plannable horizon rather than a guess.

What is the sensible way to work through three cartridges?

Use them in the order they arrived — oldest stock first — and keep the waiting cartridges sealed, flat and at room temperature until their turn comes. Fit one, print it down, and let the next in line take over. There is nothing to rotate or maintain beyond that simple first-in, first-out habit.

Which printers does this pack serve?

Every cartridge in the pack is the 106R02228 black supply for the Phaser 6600, Phaser 6600dn, Phaser 6600n and Phaser 6600ydn, and for the WorkCentre 6605 and WorkCentre 6605dn.

What protection does the purchase carry?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns on every cartridge, as laid out on the shipping and returns page. Orders are dispatched from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and more of the range sits on our Xerox toner page.

About This 106R02228 Three-Pack

Some offices reorder toner the way they reorder coffee — in sensible quantities, before it runs out. This three-pack suits exactly that habit: three compatible high-yield black cartridges, 8,000 pages apiece, at $85.17 for the set. That is $28.39 a cartridge and about 0.35 cents a page, with the black supply for a Phaser 6600 or WorkCentre 6605 settled in a single order.
