Frequently Asked Questions

Five cartridges — what am I actually getting?

A set of five cartridges built from this platform's four supplies: the black 106R01597, cyan 106R01594, magenta 106R01596 and yellow 106R01595. The four color positions of your printer are covered, and a fifth cartridge rides along as extra capacity, so the set runs longer than a straight one-of-each box before you need to think about reordering.

How many of each color are in the five?

Honestly, the listing states the total — five cartridges across the four part numbers above — without publishing an exact per-color breakdown, and we will not invent one. What you can rely on is the composition by part number: every cartridge in the box is one of 106R01597, 106R01594, 106R01596 or 106R01595, and all four printer positions are covered. If your buying decision depends on the precise split, contact us before ordering and we will confirm it rather than guess.

Who does a five-cartridge set make sense for?

Offices whose printing is uneven. A plain four-cartridge set assumes all colors fade on a similar schedule, but real workloads lean harder on some supplies than others. The extra cartridge stretches the interval between orders, which suits busier desks and anyone who would rather restock on their own schedule than on the printer's warning light. It also bridges the gap between a basic set and a full bulk purchase.

Do the per-cartridge page ratings change inside a bigger set?

No — the cartridges themselves are identical to the singles. Black 106R01597 is rated at up to 3,000 pages; each color, 106R01594, 106R01596 and 106R01595, is rated at up to 2,500 pages, all at the standard light coverage those ratings assume. Heavy color coverage will shorten real-world life, exactly as it does with individually bought cartridges.

Which printers take this set?

The Phaser 6500, Phaser 6500N and Phaser 6500DN printers, and the WorkCentre 6505, WorkCentre 6505N and WorkCentre 6505DN multifunctions — the whole 6500/6505 family shares these four supplies.

What backing does the purchase carry?

A 1-year warranty stands behind every cartridge, and returns cost you nothing for a full year; the details are spelled out on our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California depending on which warehouse is closest, and support hours run Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Xerox 6500 Five-Cartridge Set

One step up from the basic refresh: five compatible cartridges spanning the 106R01597 black (up to 3,000 pages) and the 106R01594 cyan, 106R01596 magenta and 106R01595 yellow supplies (up to 2,500 pages each), for $85.74. The set fits the complete Phaser 6500 and WorkCentre 6505 family, and its fifth cartridge buys extra runway for offices that burn through one supply faster than the rest. You will find the singles and other set sizes for this platform on our Xerox page.
