Frequently Asked Questions

One cartridge really covers both the Phaser 6500 printers and the WorkCentre 6505 line?

Yes — that breadth is the point of this listing. The 106R01594 cyan cartridge is the shared color supply for two families built on the same engine: the Phaser 6500, Phaser 6500DN and Phaser 6500N printers, and the WorkCentre 6505, WorkCentre 6505N and WorkCentre 6505DN multifunctions. A mixed fleet needs only this one cyan on the shelf.

What does the cartridge deliver for the price?

One compatible high yield cyan cartridge for $31.95, rated at up to 2,500 pages — about 1.28 cents per page at standard coverage. High yield here is measured against the smaller standard cartridge for this platform, so each change-out buys a longer interval before the next one.

How do I confirm this is the right cyan before opening it?

Match the part number, not the printer's badge. Pull the current cyan cartridge or open the supplies screen: if the listed code is 106R01594, this cartridge is the match for whichever of the six models above you run. The seal stays intact until that check is done, which keeps a mistaken order returnable.

Why keep a spare cyan when black is the color that runs out most?

Because color stops the job just as dead. A report with charts, a proposal with a colored cover, a copied form — each waits on whichever supply is empty, and cyan fades gradually enough that its warning is easy to postpone until it becomes an outage. One $31.95 spare removes that failure mode for the whole fleet.

Does a faded cyan band on the test page always mean the cartridge is finished?

Almost always, on this platform. Print the color test page: if the cyan band alone is light, broken or streaked while the others print solid, the 106R01594 is spent. If every color looks weak together, the cause is more likely a setting or another component, and changing cyan alone would not fix it.

What happens if I need to return it?

Returns are free for a full year, and the cartridge carries a 1-year warranty; the full terms are on our shipping and returns page. We ship from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
