Frequently Asked Questions

Who should act when the shared 6500N reports cyan is low?

Whoever sees it first — on a networked printer the warning reaches every user, and the common failure is each person assuming someone else ordered. The practical rule: the person who notices the warning either orders the 106R01594 or tells the person who does, the same day. The cartridge is $31.95, and a spare on the shelf ends the discussion entirely, since a shared machine gives no one a private warning period.

Does the "N" in 6500N mean this printer needs a different cartridge?

No. The N marks the network version of the printer; the supply inside is unchanged. This 106R01594 cyan cartridge, rated at up to 2,500 pages, is the same unit the whole 6500 platform uses — networking changes how the printer connects, not what it consumes.

The listing title says "Toner Cartridges" — how many arrive?

One cartridge. The plural is title wording inherited from the catalog; the box holds a single compatible cyan unit. That matches how the printer asks for it — colors are reported and replaced individually on this platform.

Which machines can this spare serve?

The Phaser 6500N first of all, and equally the Phaser 6500, the 6500DN and the WorkCentre 6505 models — one shared cyan supply across the family, so a spare is never stranded on the wrong machine.

How can we check the cyan level without walking to the printer?

The 6500N reports its supply levels over the network through its built-in status tools, so the level can be checked from a desk. Watching the trend beats reacting to the warning: when cyan drops under roughly a quarter, ordering the replacement keeps the shared queue from stopping mid-job.

What protection covers the purchase?

A 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year, as detailed on our shipping and returns page. We ship from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
