Frequently Asked Questions

Why refresh all three colours in one go instead of replacing them one at a time?

On a compact desktop colour printer, the three colour cartridges age together even when they do not empty together. Swapping in a fresh trio resets the whole palette at once: blues, reds and greens are mixed from cartridges of the same age, so no new unit has to compensate for two tired partners. Owners who print colour in bursts — a term of school handouts, a run of event flyers, a month of chart-heavy reports — tend to prefer that clean restart over chasing whichever colour happens to fade next.

What is actually inside this set, and what is not?

The box holds exactly three cartridges, one of each colour: cyan 106R02756, magenta 106R02757 and yellow 106R02758. Each one drops into its own colour bay and nowhere else. There is no black cartridge in this set — black for this printer family is sold under a separate listing, so check the black level on your machine before you order and add that cartridge on its own if it is also running low.

How should I read the page ratings on a printer this size?

Honestly, as modest numbers for a modest machine. Every cartridge in the set is rated at 1,000 pages at the usual 5% coverage test basis, which adds up to 3,000 pages of combined colour coverage across the three bays — that total describes the set as a whole, not the life of any single cartridge. Light document colour, the odd logo, a chart here and there: that is the workload the rating assumes. Dense photographs and solid backgrounds cover far more of each sheet and will shorten real life noticeably.

One colour always runs out first on my machine. Does a set still make sense?

Yes, because nothing forces you to install all three on the same day. Uneven use is the norm — a desk that prints red-heavy artwork drains magenta early, while a desk printing mostly blue charts leans on cyan. Fit whichever bay the printer is asking for, leave the other two cartridges sealed and stored flat in a cool, dry spot, and the set quietly becomes your reserve stock as well as your refill. When the next colour calls, its replacement is already in the drawer.

Which printers is this colour trio made for?

It is built for the Phaser 6022 and its close relatives on the same supply platform, the Phaser 6027 and Phaser 6027ni. The surest check before ordering is the label on a cartridge you are taking out: if it reads 106R02756, 106R02757 or 106R02758, the matching bay in this set is its replacement.

What protection and delivery come with the set?

Every cartridge in the box is backed by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year as well, so a unit that streaks, leaks or fades far short of its rating comes back for a replacement or a refund. Parcels ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, the support team is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the full delivery and returns terms are set out on our shipping and returns page.

About This 3 Color Set for the Phaser 6022 Family

A matched colour refill for the small Phaser 6022 family, priced at $38.70: one cyan 106R02756, one magenta 106R02757 and one yellow 106R02758, each rated at 1,000 pages, for 3,000 pages of combined colour coverage across the set. Buy it to reset all three colour bays together, or hold it as the reserve that keeps a small printer colour-ready without a separate order for every bay. Black is not included and is listed separately for this platform. Single cartridges and the rest of the platform's supplies sit in the wider Xerox range.
