Frequently Asked Questions

What does buying five cartridges at once actually buy us?

Two things: the lowest per-cartridge price in this family, and the end of toner as a recurring interruption. With five CLT-K404S cartridges in the cupboard, the printer's black supply stops being something anyone has to think about between orders — each low-toner warning is answered from the shelf, and reordering becomes a once-in-a-while task instead of a monthly one.

How do the numbers on a five-pack break down?

Five cartridges for $179.14 is about $35.83 a cartridge, against $50.62 bought one at a time — a saving of $73.96 across the pack compared with five singles. Each cartridge is rated at 1,500 pages, so the pack holds 7,500 pages of black printing, and the per-page figure improves to roughly 2.39 cents.

Honestly — who gets through five of these?

A small office printing steadily every working day: statements, letters, forms and reports add up faster than people expect, and 7,500 pages can be a year's black printing for a busy team. A household that prints occasionally should not buy this pack — the cartridges would outlast the sensible horizon, and the warranty year runs from purchase, not from the day each cartridge is fitted. The smaller packs exist for lighter use.

Which printers does this stock cover?

Every machine in the family: the CLT-K404S is the listed black for the Samsung Xpress C430, Xpress C430W, Xpress C480 and Xpress C480FW. A five-pack held centrally covers all of them, and pairs with the separate color supplies — CLT-C404S cyan, CLT-M404S magenta and CLT-Y404S yellow — which are stocked and replaced on their own schedule.

How should five cartridges be worked through?

First in, first out. Keep them sealed and stored flat in a dry cupboard, always fit the one that has been on the shelf longest, and reorder when the last cartridge goes into the printer. That rotation keeps stock fresh, keeps one change always in hand, and turns the low-toner warning into a non-event.

What protection comes with a pack of this size?

Each cartridge is covered by a one-year warranty against defects, and the purchase carries free returns for a full year — the terms are set out on the shipping and returns page. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
