Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a three-pack of black cartridges actually sized for?

A desk that prints every day but is not a print room: the busy home office, the two-or-three-person team, the small business whose Xpress printer handles its correspondence, invoices and reports. Three CLT-K404S cartridges give that workload a proper buffer. A genuinely light user is better served by the single or the two-pack — this quantity earns its shelf space only where the pages keep coming.

What does each cartridge in this pack effectively cost?

The pack is $114.89 for three cartridges, which works out at about $38.30 a cartridge — against $50.62 for a single — and roughly 2.55 cents a page across each cartridge's 1,500-page rating. Bought as three singles, the same supply would cost $151.86, so the three-pack saves $36.97.

How far does the whole pack stretch?

Three cartridges at 1,500 rated pages each is 4,500 pages of black printing. For an office turning out a few hundred pages a month, that is comfortably the best part of a year; the practical rhythm is to reorder when the third cartridge goes into the printer, which keeps one change in hand at all times.

Can one pack serve more than one printer?

Yes, where the printers are from the same family. The CLT-K404S is the listed black supply for the Samsung Xpress C430, Xpress C430W, Xpress C480 and Xpress C480FW, so an office running, say, a C430 and a C480 can hold this one pack as shared stock — whichever machine asks first takes the next cartridge, and no spare is ever stranded fitting a printer you no longer have.

Does fitting one of these cartridges involve anything else?

No. The CLT-K404S is a single self-contained unit: old cartridge out, new cartridge in, nothing else to change at the same time. The color supplies — CLT-C404S, CLT-M404S and CLT-Y404S — live in their own slots and are only replaced when their own levels fall.

What guarantee backs this three-pack?

A one-year warranty against defects covers every cartridge in the pack, and free returns run for a full year from purchase — the full wording lives on our shipping and returns page. Questions are answered Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
