Frequently Asked Questions
Why do reds and skin tones look wrong when magenta gets low?
Magenta is the backbone of every warm tone your printer produces: reds are built from magenta plus yellow, and natural skin tones depend on a precise magenta balance. When the cartridge fades, reds turn orange and washed out, and faces in printed photos look pale or greenish. Of the three colors, magenta problems are often the most visible to the naked eye.
How long will one magenta cartridge realistically last us?
The rating is 10,000 pages at standard coverage, and because magenta is only consumed on pages containing warm colors, many offices get well over a year from a single cartridge. Print shops and marketing teams running full-bleed color will cycle through it faster. As a rough guide, expect to change magenta less often than black — in this family black is rated at 8,300 pages and does far more daily work.
Our logo is a deep red — will this cartridge reproduce it properly?
Yes — a healthy magenta cartridge is exactly what a deep, saturated red needs, since that color is mixed primarily from magenta with yellow. If your reds have started looking brick-orange or faded, a tired magenta cartridge is the first suspect, before any settings change. Swap in a fresh one and the brand color comes back.
Does this magenta fit only the model named in the listing?
For any office that prints customer-facing color — proposals, photos, branded documents — yes. A single empty color can hold up an otherwise ready print job, and magenta's effect on skin tones makes its absence hard to hide. Sealed toner stores well, so a spare on the shelf costs nothing in shelf life.
How are returns handled if I order the wrong cartridge?
Wrong orders happen, and they are easy to fix: this cartridge carries a one-year warranty and a full year of free returns under the policy on our shipping & returns page. We ship from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and you can reach support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST for help confirming the right supply before you reorder.
