Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually goes through six color cartridges?

Offices whose MP C300 or C400 spends its days on color work — marketing pieces, client presentations, color-coded reports — or stockrooms feeding more than one machine from the same shelf. Color cartridges are rated at up to 10,000 pages each in this family, so six of them represent two full color cycles' worth of the machine's color side. If your printer mostly does black text with the occasional color logo, this box is more toner than you need, and the 3-color set is the honest fit.

Is there a black cartridge in this set?

No — this set is colors only: six cartridges drawn from the cyan (841296), magenta (841297) and yellow (841298) side of the platform. Black is the 841295, rated at 8,300 pages, and it is replaced so much more often that it is stocked and sold separately. Check your black level before ordering so the machine is not waiting on the one cartridge this box does not contain.

Which machines do these color cartridges serve?

They are the color cartridges for the Ricoh Aficio MP C300/C400 MFP platform: Lanier LD130C, Lanier LD130CSR, Lanier LD140C, Lanier LD140CSR, Lanier MP C401, Lanier MP C401SR, Savin C230, Savin C230SR, Savin C240, Savin C240SR, Savin MP C401, Savin MP C401SR, Aficio MP C300, Aficio MP C300SR, Aficio MP C400, Aficio MP C400SR and Aficio MP C401 A listing page may be titled for one model, but the cartridges themselves are platform parts — the same cyan, magenta and yellow run across the whole family, which is exactly why a shared stock shelf works for these machines.

What is the per-cartridge economics of buying six at once?

A single color cartridge costs $56.84. In this set the six work out to about $41.43 apiece, so every cartridge you install from the box costs roughly $15 less than the same cartridge ordered on its own. There is no separate bulk quote or contract behind that — the $248.60 set price simply builds the discount in.

How should I store and rotate six cartridges?

Keep them sealed, flat and out of direct sunlight and heat, and use them oldest-first so no cartridge sits on the shelf for years. A sensible rhythm is to treat the last unopened cartridge as your reorder signal: when the shelf hits that one, the next set goes on order and the machine never waits. Sealed toner keeps well, but rotation keeps the stock honest.

What happens if a cartridge from the box fails months from now?

The warranty does not run out because the cartridge waited its turn: each cartridge is covered for one year and returns on compatible cartridges are free for a year, with the full terms on the shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
