Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of printing volume justifies ordering five cartridges in a single order?

A departmental MP C300 or C400 that prints all day, every day — invoices and statements in the morning, color reports and presentations after lunch — can burn through toner fast enough that ordering one cartridge at a time means ordering constantly. Five at once converts that drip of emergency purchases into one planned restock that covers multiple changeovers. For a quiet single-desk printer, though, five is stockpiling, and the smaller sets will serve you better.

How many pages does a five-cartridge set cover?

This family's yields run by color class rather than one shared number: black cartridges are rated at up to 8,300 pages and color cartridges at up to 10,000 pages each, both at standard 5% coverage. So the honest way to read this set is five cartridges deep of platform toner — each one delivering its rated yield when installed — rather than a single summed page figure. In practice it carries a busy machine through several full replacement cycles before you need to think about toner again.

Which printers does this set fit?

The cartridges are made for the Ricoh Aficio MP C300/C400 color MFP family: Lanier LD130C, Lanier LD130CSR, Lanier LD140C, Lanier LD140CSR, Lanier MP C401, Lanier MP C401SR, Savin C230, Savin C230SR, Savin C240, Savin C240SR, Savin MP C401, Savin MP C401SR, Aficio MP C300, Aficio MP C300SR, Aficio MP C400, Aficio MP C400SR and Aficio MP C401 The listing names one model because that is how the page is organized, not because the cartridges are model-specific — they are the platform's standard black and color cartridges, shared across every machine in that list.

What does five-at-once do to my cost per cartridge?

Bought singly, this platform's cartridges run $45.24 for black and $56.84 for each color. Inside this set, the five average out to about $37.41 per cartridge — the lowest per-unit level in the range short of the eight-pack. The saving compounds quietly: every changeover from this box costs less than the same changeover ordered as a single.

Can I split this set between more than one machine?

Yes — nothing about the set ties its cartridges to a single printer. Offices commonly keep one box on the shelf and draw from it as any of their same-platform machines calls for a replacement, which is part of the point of standardizing on one cartridge family. Just keep the remaining cartridges sealed until the moment they are installed.

What backing does a bulk purchase like this come with?

The same backing as a single cartridge, multiplied by five: each cartridge carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — see our shipping & returns page for the terms. Your set ships from the closest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
