Frequently Asked Questions

Eight cartridges sounds like a lot — who is this size actually for?

Fleets and stockrooms. When several MP C300/C400-family machines draw from one supply shelf, toner stops being a per-printer errand and becomes inventory — and eight cartridges is roughly the depth that lets a busy site stop thinking about toner between planned orders. A single lightly used machine will not see the bottom of this box for a very long time; for that situation the smaller sets are the right-sized buy.

How do the yields work across a box this size?

By color class, as everywhere in this family: the black cartridges are rated at up to 8,300 pages and the color cartridges at up to 10,000 pages each, measured at the standard 5% coverage. Eight cartridges therefore means eight full cartridge cycles of platform toner, each delivering its own rated yield as it is installed. Black will cycle fastest — it always does — and the panel's level indicators tell you which slot is calling next.

Which printers does this set fit?

These are the standard black and color cartridges of the Ricoh Aficio MP C300/C400 family: Lanier LD130C, Lanier LD130CSR, Lanier LD140C, Lanier LD140CSR, Lanier MP C401, Lanier MP C401SR, Savin C230, Savin C230SR, Savin C240, Savin C240SR, Savin MP C401, Savin MP C401SR, Aficio MP C300, Aficio MP C300SR, Aficio MP C400, Aficio MP C400SR and Aficio MP C401 The listing is titled for a single model, but the cartridges are platform parts shared by every machine in that family — which is precisely what makes one deep stock box workable across a mixed fleet of these models.

How does annual or fleet budgeting work out with this set?

At $302.09 for eight cartridges, the per-cartridge cost lands at about $37.76, against $45.24 for a black single and $56.84 for a color single bought one at a time. For a facilities or office manager, that turns toner into one predictable line item per restock instead of a scatter of small emergency invoices across the year. Fewer orders also means fewer delivery events to receive and file.

How should eight cartridges be stored so the last one is as good as the first?

Sealed, in a cool dry place away from sunlight, and installed oldest-first. A simple discipline works: mark the delivery date on the box, draw from the front, and set your reorder point at the last two cartridges — at fleet consumption rates, that buffer is what stands between a routine restock and a machine sitting idle. Toner powder does not dry out like ink, so a sealed cartridge waits patiently.

What if something goes wrong with one of the eight?

Each cartridge is covered individually by a one-year warranty, and returns on compatible cartridges are free for a full year — a problem with one cartridge never means sending back the box. The full policy is on our shipping & returns page. Orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouse, and support is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
