Frequently Asked Questions

My black cartridge still has plenty left — why would I buy the three colors as a set?

Because the color side and the black side live on different clocks. Black empties fastest and gets replaced on its own rhythm, while cyan, magenta and yellow drain slowly together in the background — and when one color finally gives out, the other two are usually close behind. A matched trio resets the color side to one common starting line, so your reds, blues and greens stay balanced instead of mixing one new cartridge with two tired ones.

Exactly what is in this box?

One cyan cartridge (841296), one magenta cartridge (841297) and one yellow cartridge (841298) — one of each color, and each rated at up to 10,000 pages at standard coverage. Black is deliberately not included: the 841295 black is rated lower at 8,300 pages and turns over more often, so it is sold on its own schedule rather than bundled into the color cycle.

Which printers does this color set belong to?

The trio is built for the Ricoh Aficio MP C300/C400 color MFP family: Lanier LD130C, Lanier LD130CSR, Lanier LD140C, Lanier LD140CSR, Lanier MP C401, Lanier MP C401SR, Savin C230, Savin C230SR, Savin C240, Savin C240SR, Savin MP C401, Savin MP C401SR, Aficio MP C300, Aficio MP C300SR, Aficio MP C400, Aficio MP C400SR and Aficio MP C401 The listing is titled with a single model name, but that is just how the page is labeled — the three cartridges are the platform's standard color set, and any machine in that family takes the same cyan, magenta and yellow.

How does the set price compare with three separate color cartridges?

Each color single costs $56.84, so three bought separately come to $170.52. This set is $133.54 — a saving of $36.98, which works out to about $44.51 per cartridge instead of $56.84. The discount is meaningful without being mysterious: one box, one shipment, one order to process.

What if only one of my colors is actually empty?

Then a single cartridge is honestly the better buy, and this set can wait. The trio pays off when two or three colors are low together, when a big color job is coming and you want no weak link, or when you are stocking a shelf for a machine you cannot afford to have down. Buying all three against one empty color ties up cash in toner you will not touch for months.

What protection comes with these cartridges?

Each of the three is covered by a one-year warranty, and our compatible cartridges can be returned free of charge for a full year after purchase — the details are spelled out on the shipping & returns page. Orders leave from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
