Frequently Asked Questions
Is a five-pack overbuying for one SP 4100N?
Honestly, it can be. Five cartridges total up to 75,000 pages. If your machine prints 5,000 pages a month, the pack is a sensible 15 months of supply. If it prints 800 pages a month, the last cartridges would sit sealed for years — buy the 2-pack instead. This pack is priced for the heavier end: $690.83, or $138.17 per cartridge, the lowest per-unit price short of the 10-pack.
How much does the 5-pack save against singles?
Five singles at $152.96 would come to $764.80. The pack is $690.83, a saving of $73.97, and the per-page cost eases to about 0.92 cents. This cartridge family is not cheap toner in absolute terms — the SP 4100N is an older model with shrinking supply — but the pack is the most economical way to feed one heavily used machine.
Will all five cartridges fit my printer?
Yes — all five are the same 402809 cartridge specified for Ricoh Aficio SP 4100N. There are no mixed codes in the pack. If your printer is a different Ricoh model, do not order on the assumption it will fit; match the cartridge code from the unit you are replacing.
What is the sensible way to work through five cartridges?
Label the boxes with their arrival date and use them oldest first. Keep the waiting cartridges sealed, flat and in a cool dry place. Rotation keeps every cartridge within a reasonable storage window, and if one unit ever misbehaves it is handled on its own under warranty — the rest of the pack is unaffected.
Where does the pack ship from, and how is it covered?
Orders ship from whichever of our warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — is positioned to reach you soonest. Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the full policy on our shipping & returns page.
Who is this pack really for?
Departments and small fleets that run the SP 4100N hard and handle purchasing in batches — one order, one approval, toner sorted for over a year. Offices with a single lightly used machine will be better served by a smaller pack, and we would rather tell you that than sell you shelf stock you do not need.
