Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this magenta cost more than the cyan from the same family?

Sibling colors are not always priced identically, and this family is an honest example: magenta 46507502 is $40.87, cyan is $37.35 and yellow is $46.49, all at the same 6,000-page rating. We list the prices as they are rather than smoothing them into a fake uniform figure.

What does magenta actually do in my printouts?

Magenta carries reds, pinks, purples and a large share of skin tones and warm shading. When it runs low, the first symptom is usually washed-out reds and logos that drift orange. Replacing the 46507502 restores that half of the color balance without touching the other cartridges.

What is the running cost of this cartridge?

At $40.87 over a 6,000-page rating, the math lands near 0.68 cents per page. That is the rated-yield figure; dense photographic pages will use toner faster, while typical office documents with modest color coverage usually track closer to it.

Is it fine to mix this new magenta with older cartridges in the printer?

Yes. Cartridges on the C612dn are independent, so a fresh magenta alongside part-used cyan, yellow and black is a normal configuration. The printer reports each color separately, and replacing one at a time as each fades is exactly how most offices run these machines.

Should I keep a spare magenta on hand?

If your output includes marketing pieces, event materials or anything with brand reds, a spare avoids the washed-out interim while a replacement ships. Keep it sealed and stored flat; our orders leave from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, so delivery is rarely a long wait in any case.

What cover does this compatible cartridge include?

One-year warranty and one-year free returns, detailed on our shipping and returns page. Questions are answered by support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
