Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this set contain no black cartridge?

Because it is a color refresh, deliberately. The box holds one each of 46507503 cyan, 46507502 magenta and 46507501 yellow. On many C612dn printers the black cartridge (46507504) still has thousands of pages left when the colors fade together, and this set avoids making you pay for a black you do not need yet.

How much does the set save versus the three singles?

Bought individually, the three colors total $124.71. This set is $87.73, saving $36.98 — roughly $29.24 per cartridge. For a printer whose three colors are all reporting low at once, it is the cheapest way back to full color in this family.

What if only one of my colors has run out?

Then a single is the honest recommendation: each color is sold separately, and replacing a healthy cartridge early wastes its remaining pages. The set earns its place when the colors are finishing within a short window of each other, which is common after a long run of balanced color printing.

What page rating does each color in the set carry?

6,000 pages per cartridge, each color in the family sharing the same class rating. Expect actual life to swing with coverage: a quarter's worth of text documents with small charts will treat these gently, while full-bleed graphics will not.

Can I fit the three colors at different times?

Yes. Nothing ties them together once the box is open. Fit cyan today if it is the one flashing, and keep magenta and yellow sealed until their turn comes — each cartridge waits in its packaging without any penalty.

What cover comes with this compatible set?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns, with terms on our shipping and returns page. Deliveries leave from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
