Frequently Asked Questions

How many pages will I honestly get from this cartridge?

The 46507504 is rated at 8,000 pages, and that figure comes from the standard 5% coverage test — a typical office page with text and a small amount of graphics. Real life varies: a C612dn printing dense contracts, full-page images or heavy letterheads will finish the cartridge sooner, while everyday memos and invoices usually land close to the rating. Treat 8,000 as a planning number, not a guarantee.

What does the $47.91 price work out to per page?

Dividing the price by the rated yield gives roughly 0.60 cents per page for black printing. There are no extra costs hidden in that figure — no separate drum to buy for this cartridge swap — so the running cost of mono output on your Oki C612dn stays easy to predict month to month.

My C612dn says black is low but the colors look fine — do I need a whole set?

No. This listing is a single black cartridge, and black is almost always the first color to run out because text dominates office printing. You swap only the empty black unit and leave the color cartridges in place until each one is actually spent — replacing colors early just throws away toner you already paid for.

Is this an original Okidata cartridge?

It is a compatible cartridge built to the 46507504 specification, not a genuine Oki-branded unit. It is sold under our Okidata-compatible range at a compatible price, and it is backed the way we back all our compatibles: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns.

How do I know I am ordering the right black cartridge?

Match the number, not the shape — plenty of Oki cartridges look alike on a shelf. If your empty unit is marked 46507504, this is its replacement. If the code on your old cartridge reads differently, stop and check with us before ordering; support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Where will my order ship from, and how is it covered?

Orders leave from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — has the cartridge in stock, which keeps transit times short. The full returns terms are on our shipping and returns page; in short, you have a year to return it free if it is not right.

About This Cartridge

This is the single black 46507504 toner cartridge for the Oki C612dn, rated at 8,000 pages and priced at $47.91 — about 0.60 cents per page of mono printing. It suits the straightforward replacement: one printer, one empty black cartridge, no stockroom to manage. If you burn through black toner quickly, the multi-packs of the same cartridge on this site bring the per-cartridge price down, but for a light or occasional user this single unit avoids money sitting idle on a shelf. Every cartridge is a Clever Supplies compatible covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns.
