Frequently Asked Questions

Who honestly needs five black cartridges in a single order?

Printers that never really stop: a C612dn shared by a busy department, a front desk running documents all day, or a small business whose paperwork is its product. Five 46507504 cartridges total roughly 40,000 rated pages of black output, so this pack suits operations that measure toner in months of runway, not in single replacements.

What does the 5-pack do to the per-cartridge price?

It brings it down to $33.12 per cartridge. Five singles would cost $239.55; this bundle is $165.60, a saving of $73.95 — more than one and a half cartridges' worth. At the rated 8,000 pages per unit, your black printing lands around 0.41 cents per page, the lowest unit economics this cartridge offers on our site.

Should a light user buy this pack for the cheaper unit price?

Probably not, and we would rather say so plainly. If your C612dn prints a few hundred pages a month, five cartridges could sit for years; the single or the 2-pack keeps your money in your pocket instead of on a shelf. The 5-pack saving is real only when the volume is real.

How should five cartridges be stored so the last one performs like the first?

Keep them sealed, flat and together in a dry cupboard away from windows and heat sources, and rotate stock — oldest cartridge in first. Stored that way, a 46507504 waiting its turn stays in factory condition; toner powder does not dry out, and the packaging does the protecting as long as it stays closed.

What happens if one cartridge in the middle of the pack has a problem?

Every unit is covered individually: our compatibles carry a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns regardless of pack size, so a faulty cartridge is returnable on its own terms without sending back the rest of the bundle. The process is described on our shipping and returns page, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Are these genuine Okidata cartridges?

They are compatibles built to the 46507504 specification for the Oki C612dn, sold under our Okidata-compatible range rather than as Oki-branded stock. That is precisely why the five-unit price can sit where it does — and the warranty and returns behind them are ours to honor.
