Frequently Asked Questions

What is the point of buying two black cartridges in one box?

Continuity. With the 46507504 2-pack, one cartridge goes into the Oki C612dn today and the second waits on the shelf, so the next time black runs dry — usually mid-job, never at a convenient moment — the replacement is already in the building. No emergency order, no overnight shipping fee, no printer sitting idle while a delivery makes its way to you.

How does the 2-pack price compare with two singles?

Two single cartridges bought separately cost $95.82. This pair is $77.34, which works out to $38.67 per cartridge and saves you $18.48 against the single price — close to 40% of a cartridge, effectively. The more of your printing that runs through this pack, the closer your real cost per page gets to about 0.48 cents.

Will the spare cartridge go stale sitting on a shelf?

Not under normal office conditions. Keep the second 46507504 sealed in its packaging, stored flat in a dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and radiators, and it will be in the same condition when you open it months later as the day it arrived. Toner does not dry out the way liquid ink does.

Is a 2-pack the right size for a small office?

For a single C612dn handling a moderate workload, usually yes. The pair covers roughly 16,000 rated pages of black printing, which for many small teams is a quarter or more of output. Very light users may prefer the single; heavy users will find the larger packs of this same cartridge cheaper per unit — the honest trade-off is shelf stock versus unit price.

Are both cartridges covered the same way?

Yes. Both units in the box are Clever Supplies compatibles backed by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — the coverage does not shrink because the second cartridge waits a while before use. If either unit disappoints, the shipping and returns page explains exactly how a return works.

Does this pack include the color cartridges too?

No — this is black only: two black 46507504 cartridges. The C612dn's color cartridges are separate units with their own part numbers, and they are replaced individually as each one runs out. Our full range for this printer is listed under the Okidata-compatible range if you need the colors as well.
