Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do I get in this 2 pack?

Two black drum units, both part number 43501901, each rated up to 25,000 pages — 50,000 pages of drum life in the box. The pair costs $122.03, which works out to about $61.02 per drum against $70.25 for a single, so buying two at once saves roughly $18.47.

Why would anyone need two drums at the same time?

Usually it is one of two situations: an office running two printers from the B4400–B4600 family, since the 43501901 is shared by the B4400, B4400n, B4500, B4500n, B4550, B4550n, B4600 and B4600n — or a single busy printer whose owner wants the next drum already on the shelf. A worn drum degrades print quality gradually and then all at once; having the spare means the swap happens the same morning, not after a delivery wait.

Do both drums have to go into the same printer?

No. Each unit is individually boxed and sealed, so you can fit one today, fit the second in a different machine next month, or simply store it. Nothing about the 2 pack ties the pair together once it arrives.

How should I store the spare drum?

Keep it in its sealed packaging, away from bright light and heat. Drum surfaces are light-sensitive, so the box it ships in is genuinely the best place for it until the day it is installed — do not open it early just to look at it.

Are these genuine Oki drums?

No, they are compatible 43501901 units rather than Oki-branded parts. Each is covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns; the terms are set out on the shipping & returns page.

Where does the pack ship from, and when is support available?

We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. More Oki consumables are listed on the Okidata brand page.
