Frequently Asked Questions

What is in this B4300 3-pack, in plain terms?

Three identical black cartridges, part number 42102901, each rated up to 6,000 pages — $52.42 for the box. That is about $17.47 per cartridge, where the same cartridge on its own costs $29.80.

How much do I save against buying singles?

Three single cartridges would total $89.40, so the pack saves $36.98 — more than the price of a whole extra cartridge bought singly. Across the pack's roughly 18,000 rated pages, the cost works out near 0.29 cents a page.

Is three cartridges too many for one printer?

For a B4300, B4300n or B4350 in daily use, rarely. One cartridge is around 6,000 pages; a printer doing a ream a week gets through that in about three months, so a 3-pack is roughly a working year of toner bought in one go.

Do all three have to be used in the same machine?

No. Every cartridge in the box is the same 42102901, so you can spread them across a B4300 and a B4350, or keep all three rotating through one printer — the pack does not care.

What cover comes with these cartridges?

They are compatible cartridges, not Oki-branded, and each one is covered by a one-year warranty with one-year free returns. The full policy is on the shipping & returns page.

How do I reach someone if a cartridge arrives damaged?

Support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders are dispatched from IL, PA, GA and CA, and the rest of the Oki range — including this cartridge as a single — is listed on the Okidata brand page.
