Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy two cartridges at once instead of one?

Because the second one is heavily discounted. This 2-pack of 42102901 cartridges costs $41.11 — about $20.56 a cartridge against $29.80 for a single — so you save $18.49 versus two separate orders and the replacement is already on hand when the first one runs out.

How many pages does the pair cover?

Each 42102901 is rated up to 6,000 pages, so the two together cover roughly 12,000 pages of standard-coverage printing. That is the better part of a year for many small offices before toner needs ordering again.

Which printers does this 2-pack serve?

The Oki B4300, B4300n and B4350 — all three run on the 42102901. Whether the pair feeds one shared office printer or two separate machines, every cartridge in the box fits any of them.

Can I fit one now and keep the other sealed?

Yes, that is the normal way to use a multi-pack. The cartridges are individually packaged; the spare keeps fine on a shelf in a cool, dry spot until the installed one fades.

Are these genuine Okidata cartridges?

No — they are compatible cartridges built to the 42102901 specification, backed by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns. The return terms are set out on the shipping & returns page.

Where does the order ship from, and when is support open?

Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Singles and larger packs of this cartridge live on the Okidata brand page.
