Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly arrives when I order this cartridge?

One black 147Y cartridge in a sealed protective bag inside its own carton — nothing more to assemble, nothing else to buy. The price for the single cartridge is $250.03, and it is ready to install the moment the box is opened.

How long will a 42,000-page cartridge realistically last on a department printer?

On an M611dn carrying a department's statements, reports and board packs, a 42,000-page rating usually means many months between swaps rather than weeks. Coverage decides the real number — dense financial pages draw more toner than plain memos — but the cartridge is built so changeovers stop being a recurring chore.

How do I confirm this is the right cartridge before I order?

Check the label on the cartridge currently in the machine, or print the supply status page from the control panel. If the part number reads W1470Y, this is the same cartridge. The code on the label is the identity that matters, not the size of the printer or the badge on its front. Confirm it once and the answer covers the department's other machines too, because this extra-high-capacity cartridge serves the M611dn, M611n and M611x, and the M634h, M634z, M635h, M635z, M636fh and M636z multifunctions.

What does the swap itself involve?

Open the top cover, pull the spent cartridge straight out, and unpack the new one. Rock it gently side to side so the toner settles evenly, remove the packing strip, slide it in until it seats, and close the cover. Two or three minutes at the machine, with no tools and no settings to change.

How will I know when it is genuinely empty?

Even fading from the top of the page to the bottom, a low-supply warning that keeps returning, and a gauge sitting at empty are the reliable signs. Rocking the old cartridge can coax out a few final pages, but once output stays pale afterwards, it is finished.

What backing comes with the cartridge?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a defective unit is replaced or refunded instead of becoming an argument. Our support team answers Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST if you would rather talk it through with a person.

About This 147Y Single Cartridge

This W1470Y single is the extra-high-capacity way to feed an HP LaserJet Enterprise M611dn: one black cartridge rated at 42,000 pages, matched to a printer that anchors a whole department's document output. At $250.03 it suits offices that would rather change a cartridge a few times a year than keep a supply shelf in constant rotation. Where a machine's duty is heavy but not relentless, the high-yield 147X (W1470X) single is the step down that still stretches swaps out.
