Cyan is the quiet bottleneck of every EcoTank: it is the color that drains first on sky-heavy photos, charts and school projects, and a single empty tank stops color printing entirely. This compatible T502220-S bottle refills just that tank — 70 mL of dye cyan ink, rated for up to 6,000 pages on the ISO/IEC 24712 pattern.
Dye is the right chemistry for this slot. Where the black position uses pigment for document sharpness, the 502 color positions use dye ink because it blends smoothly — gradients, photos and presentation graphics come out even and vivid instead of grainy. Our cyan is formulated to the 502 color specification so your printer's color balance stays where the factory profiles expect it.
Refilling is mechanical, not electronic: the EcoFit-style keyed nozzle only fits the cyan tank, starts flowing when seated and stops when the tank is full. There is no chip to update, reject or reset — unscrew, seat, fill, done.
One family check before checkout: this is a 502 bottle. If your printer is an ET-2720, ET-2800 or ET-4800, you need the 522 cyan instead — a different, smaller bottle that is keyed differently on purpose. The 16 printers below are the verified 502 list.

What exactly is in this bottle?

Why do the colors use dye ink but the black uses pigment?
That's Epson's 502 architecture: pigment black for crisp, water-resistant text; dye colors for smooth, vivid color mixing. We mirror the original design so output character doesn't change.
My cyan ran out but the other tanks are fine. Can I refill only cyan?
Yes — that's the point of single bottles. Each tank refills independently, and the keyed nozzle means the cyan bottle physically only fits the cyan tank.
Will the nozzle fit any tank if I force it?
No, and please don't try: the keying is deliberate. A 502 cyan bottle seats only on the cyan position of a 502 printer. If a bottle won't seat, it's telling you something — check the color and the family.
Is this the right bottle for an ET-2800?
No. The ET-2800 is a 522 printer. Confusingly, its sibling ET-2850 is a 502 printer — check the exact badge on your machine. ET-2850 → this bottle; ET-2800 → 522 line.
Is there a chip to worry about?
None at all. Bottles are chipless; your printer measures ink by tank level, not by cartridge electronics. Firmware updates cannot lock out a bottle.
Will colors look washed out compared with the original ink?
The dye formula is built to the 502 color spec, so saturation and blending match what the printer's profiles expect. If a bottle ever underperforms, the lifetime warranty covers replacement.
How long can I keep an opened bottle?
Reseal it promptly and store it upright, capped, at room temperature out of sunlight. (See Specifications: stated shelf life pending supplier confirmation.)
Can I top up a tank that still has some cyan left?
Yes — EcoTank tanks are designed for top-ups. Just fill to the tank's upper line; the auto-stop nozzle helps you stop at full.
What if I ordered the wrong color family?
