Frequently Asked Questions

Which cartridges — and which codes — are in this set?

One of each color for Dell's compact color laser family: the cyan 331-0777, the magenta 331-0780 and the yellow 331-0779. Those three part numbers are the ones printed on the cartridges your printer asks for by name, so matching a low-color warning to this set is a ten-second job. The set is colors only — the black cartridge for these machines is sold separately.

Which printers does this color set fit?

The 331-0777, 331-0780 and 331-0779 cartridges serve the Dell Color Laser 1250c, 1350cnw, 1355cn and 1355cnw, the 1755nf and 1755nfw, and the C1760nw and C1765nf. It is one cartridge family shared across that whole compact range, which is why a single 3 color set covers any of them. If your machine's display names one of the three codes above, you are looking at the right box.

How does the set price compare with three singles?

Bought one by one, these color singles cost $25.24 each — $75.72 for the round. The set is $38.74, saving $36.98, for an average of about $12.91 per cartridge. The cartridges themselves are identical either way; the saving comes from ordering the complete color round together instead of reacting to three separate low-toner warnings.

How far does 1,400 pages per color actually go?

Honestly: these are compact cartridges for compact printers. Each color — the 331-0777 cyan, the 331-0780 magenta and the 331-0779 yellow — is rated at 1,400 pages at the standard 5% coverage. For a home office or a small desk-side machine printing a modest amount of color, that is a comfortable stretch; a department printing color all day will cycle through them faster and should think in terms of the 6 color set instead.

My printer says one color is low — do I replace all three?

No. Each slot is monitored and replaced on its own, so swap only the color named on the display and keep the other two sealed. Buying the set does not commit you to a group change; it just means the remaining colors are already on your shelf when their turns come.

Are these Dell originals, and what backs them?

They are compatible cartridges built to the 331-0777, 331-0780 and 331-0779 specifications and sold under our own brand — the reason three colors cost $38.74 rather than Dell money. Every cartridge carries a one-year warranty and one-year free returns; the full policy is on our shipping & returns page, and the wider range for these printers is gathered on the Dell brand page.

About This Dell 1250 3 Color Set

This set refreshes the color side of Dell's compact color laser family — the 1250c, 1350cnw, 1355cn and 1355cnw, 1755nf and 1755nfw, C1760nw and C1765nf — with the cyan 331-0777, magenta 331-0780 and yellow 331-0779 at 1,400 pages each, for $38.74 against $75.72 as singles. It is the right buy when all three colors are running down together; if a single color has failed early, its matching single cartridge is the cheaper honest answer, and black is always stocked on its own cycle.
