Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is inside this 3 color set?
Three cartridges, one of each color your Dell 1230c or 1235c uses: a 330-3015 cyan, a 330-3014 magenta and a 330-3013 yellow. Each one is rated at up to 1,000 pages. There is deliberately no black cartridge in the box — black is a separate cartridge on these printers and is sold on its own, so check your black level before you assume this set covers a full refill.
How much do I save versus buying the three colors one at a time?
Bought separately, the 330-3015 runs $37.13, the 330-3014 runs $39.58 and the 330-3013 runs $39.38 — $116.09 for the trio. This set is $79.12, so you keep $36.97 and pay about $26.37 per cartridge instead of the individual prices. For a small desktop color laser with 1,000-page color cartridges, that discount is the main reason to buy the colors together.
My prints lost one color but the other two still look fine. Do I have to install all three at once?
No. Each cartridge is individually sealed and installs on its own. Swap the 330-3015, 330-3014 or 330-3013 that actually ran out and keep the other two in their packaging, stored flat and out of direct sunlight, until their turn comes. Colors rarely empty at the same speed, so a set like this often ends up working as one install now plus two spares on the shelf.
How long will 1,000 pages per color realistically last?
That depends entirely on how much color your pages carry. Yield ratings assume light, standard coverage; a page with a full-color photo or a big solid background can use several times the toner of a page with a small color logo. If you print mostly text with occasional color, a set can stretch for months. If you print color handouts or flyers regularly, expect to cycle through colors noticeably faster — and expect one color, usually the one your documents lean on, to go first.
Are these genuine Dell cartridges?
No — these are compatible cartridges built to match the 330-3015, 330-3014 and 330-3013 specifications, not Dell-branded originals. They are made to fit and work in the Color Laser 1230c and 1235c the same way the originals do. Every cartridge we sell is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so if one underperforms you are not stuck with it.
How fast will my order get here, and who do I call if something is wrong?
Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — gets the box to you fastest. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if a cartridge arrives damaged or misbehaves. Full details are on our shipping and returns page, and you can browse the rest of the range on our Dell toner page.
About This 1230 3 Color Set
This set bundles the three color cartridges for the Dell Color Laser 1230c and 1235c — 330-3015 cyan, 330-3014 magenta and 330-3013 yellow, each rated at 1,000 pages — into one $79.12 box instead of three separate $116.09 purchases. It is the practical way to restock the color side of a small office 1230-series printer: install what has run dry, shelve the rest, and remember that the black cartridge for these machines is always a separate purchase.
