Frequently Asked Questions

We print our own flyers — what does a fading magenta do to them?

Flyers live on committed color, and magenta carries their warm half: red offers and headlines, purple accents, appetizing food and skin tones in photos. As the 5100C001 in your MF655Cw fades, reds go orange, purples go blue, and the flyer quietly stops matching the design you approved. For customer-facing print, replace at the fade rather than at the stop.

How long will one cartridge keep a flyer run going?

The 067 magenta rating is up to 1,250 pages at standard test coverage — but a flyer page with big red blocks is several times heavier than the test pattern, so a dedicated flyer workload will finish this cartridge in far fewer sheets. The price is $64.27, about 5.14 cents per rated page; heavy coverage means a higher effective cost per flyer, a trade-off worth knowing about in advance rather than mid-run.

Should I keep a spare magenta during a promotion?

If a campaign depends on the MF655Cw, yes. Keep the spare 5100C001 sealed and stored flat somewhere cool and dry; if reds start drifting mid-run, the swap takes minutes and the batch stays consistent instead of splitting into two visibly different reds.

What are the other colors doing while magenta fades?

The Canon 067 family — black 5102C001, cyan 5101C001, magenta 5100C001, yellow 5099C001 — ages independently. Cyan and yellow can be perfectly healthy while magenta fails; the mixture faults (orange reds, blue purples) identify which single cartridge to change.

What backing does this cartridge carry?

One-year warranty and one-year free returns, with the details on our shipping and returns page. It is a compatible Canon 067 magenta rather than a genuine Canon cartridge, and that year's coverage is the assurance behind using it for print your customers will judge.

How quickly can a replacement reach us mid-campaign?

We dispatch from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California, so replenishment travels from the nearest stocked point. Questions are answered Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
