Frequently Asked Questions
What does the cyan cartridge actually do in a color print?
Cyan is the blue foundation of everything your printer builds. It produces blues and skies on its own, mixes with yellow to make every green, and mixes with magenta to make purples and violets. It is also quietly present in most photographs and graphics, cooling down tones that would otherwise look too warm. When cyan is healthy, water looks like water and a company logo's blue is the right blue. When it fades, the whole color balance of the page tilts warm and reddish, even though three other cartridges still have toner left.
My blues look purple and my greens look yellowish — is the cyan the problem?
Very likely, yes. Those are the two classic cyan-shortage symptoms. Blue is pure cyan work, so weak cyan lets the magenta in a blue mix show through and the result reads purple. Green is cyan plus yellow, so weak cyan leaves the yellow dominant and greens come out lime or olive instead of true green. Before you replace anything, print a test page and compare the color blocks: if the cyan block is streaky or pale while the others look solid, this is the cartridge to change.
Which printers does this cartridge fit?
This is the Canon 067 cyan cartridge, made for Canon imageCLASS printers that use the Canon 067 cartridge. The surest check is the cartridge you are replacing: if it is marked 067 and cyan, this is the matching color. The four 067 colors share the same cartridge shape, so go by the color and number on the label rather than by how the cartridge looks in the tray.
Can I replace just the cyan and leave the other three colors in place?
Yes — each color is its own cartridge and can be changed on its own schedule. There is no need to replace magenta, yellow, or black just because cyan ran out, and replacing colors one at a time as they actually empty is the most economical way to run a color laser. Pull the old cyan straight out, seat the new one until it sits flat, and the printer is ready. Your other cartridges keep whatever life they have left.
How far does a 1,250-page rating really go?
The 1,250-page figure is measured at the standard 5% page coverage test. Real color printing rarely matches that test exactly: a full-page photo or a brochure with a blue background uses far more cyan than a memo with a small color logo. If most of your color work is documents with modest graphics, expect something in the neighborhood of the rating. If you print dense color pages, treat the number as a ceiling rather than a promise — cyan doing heavy background work will finish sooner.
What cover do I get if this cartridge disappoints?
Every cartridge we sell is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a cartridge that arrives faulty or fails early in its life is not your loss. The full terms are on our shipping & returns page. Orders ship from whichever of our warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California — gets it to you fastest, and if you want a hand confirming the color before you order, support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
About This Canon 067 Cyan Cartridge
Straight talk on price first: at $64.27 for a rated 1,250 pages, this cartridge works out to roughly 5.14 cents per page, and we will not dress that up as cheap printing. The Canon 067 family is simply an expensive cartridge design, and cyan for the imageCLASS LBP630 and MF650 series machines is not something every supplier keeps on the shelf. What you are paying for here is availability and continuity — the correct cyan, in stock, shipped from a US warehouse, so a color printer that earns its keep is not sitting idle or producing purple-blue output while you hunt one down. When this cyan runs out, blues go wrong first and greens follow; replacing just this one cartridge restores the balance without touching the other three. It is covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns like every cartridge we sell. You can see the rest of the range for these machines on our Canon toner page.
The same cartridge feeds the LBP-633CDW, MF651CW, MF653CDW, MF654CDW, MF655CDW, MF655CW, MF656CDW, LBP-631C and LBP-632CDW. The same family also offers the Canon 067 black cartridge, the Canon 067 magenta cartridge, the Canon 067 yellow cartridge, the Canon 067 four-color set and the high-yield Canon 067H cyan cartridge.
