Frequently Asked Questions

Can one purchase cover the MF735Cdw for a whole budget period?

For many offices, yes. This Canon 046H set carries a black 046HBK rated at up to 6,300 pages and 046HC cyan, 046HM magenta and 046HY yellow at up to 5,000 pages each. If your MF735Cdw runs through, say, 1,500 pages a month, the black alone spans about four months and the colors longer, since most pages are text. One $89.21 order at the start of the quarter can realistically be the only toner line in that quarter's budget.

How does the set price break down per cartridge?

Bought individually, the four Canon 046H cartridges total $144.69. In the set they cost $89.21 — $55.48 less — which averages to roughly $22.30 a cartridge. Set against the yields, that is a 6,300-page black and three 5,000-page colors at a per-page cost well under a cent on the black's share. It is the arithmetic that makes the set, rather than four singles, the default buy for a machine in regular service.

We print mostly invoices and statements. Will the colors sit unused for years?

They will sit, but not pointlessly. Color cartridges only draw down when color is printed, so on a document-led MF735Cdw the 046HC, 046HM and 046HY mostly wait their turn — and when an occasional color job does arrive, a low color cannot hold it up. Keep unfitted cartridges sealed and stored flat away from heat and sunlight, and they stay ready. If your machine genuinely never prints color, singles — starting with the black — are the honest alternative.

Why choose the 046H set over the standard Canon 046 set for this machine?

Staying power. The standard Canon 046 family is rated at 2,200 pages on black and 2,300 on each color; this Canon 046H set is rated at 6,300 and 5,000 — nearly three times the black and more than double the colors — while the singles of both families sit at the same prices in this store. On a departmental machine like the MF735Cdw, that difference is measured in cartridge changes avoided across the year.

What if only one slot runs out mid-period?

Fit that one cartridge from the set and carry on; the slots are independent. The remaining sealed cartridges become your spares for the next warnings. Because each cartridge is individually packaged, there is no pressure to install all four at once just because they arrived in the same box.

What warranty and delivery terms apply?

These compatible cartridges each carry a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, assessed per cartridge, so a single faulty color never means returning the black and the other colors with it. Full details are on our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from whichever of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California is nearest, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
