Frequently Asked Questions

Our MF4770n handles shared everyday printing — how far does 2,100 pages stretch?

For a small team sharing one networked machine for letters, forms and everyday documents, 2,100 pages typically covers two to four months. The rating assumes about 5% coverage per page — normal text — so a team printing dense forms or coverage-heavy pages will land nearer the two-month end. A single user sending occasional jobs to the MF4770n could see the same cartridge last well beyond a year.

Is a fresh cartridge worth it for a network printer that sits idle half the week?

Yes, and idle time is actually where toner shines. Toner is a dry powder, not a liquid: a cartridge in an MF4770n that prints twice a week does not dry out, clog or waste itself between jobs the way ink can. The printer can sit quiet from Friday to Tuesday and the cartridge loses nothing. That makes the Canon 128 a forgiving fit for shared machines with bursty, unpredictable demand.

Is this the right cartridge for the imageCLASS MF4770n?

Yes — this listing is the Canon 128 black toner cartridge for the Canon imageCLASS MF4770n, the Ethernet-networked multifunction in the MF4770 line. Every job sent to it over the network, plus its copies and faxes, comes from this one cartridge. Wired networking means several desks share the machine, but they all share the same single Canon 128 supply.

Let us talk price honestly: what is $26.19 really buying?

A rated 2,100 pages, which works out to roughly 1.25 cents per page. Plainly stated, a single cartridge carries the highest per-page cost in this family; the pack listings exist for buyers who want that number lower. What the single offers instead is a modest $26.19 total, no money parked in spares, and a cartridge that tolerates the MF4770n's stop-and-start shared workload without waste — often the better trade for a smaller office.

We print two-sided by flipping pages manually — does that wear the cartridge out faster?

No. The MF4770n prints one side at a time, and re-feeding a sheet to print its back side uses toner only for that second side — exactly the same total toner as printing the two pages on separate sheets. Manual duplexing saves paper and patience-testing trips to the printer, but the cartridge simply delivers its rated 2,100 printed pages either way.

What backing comes with the cartridge?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. If the cartridge arrives damaged or prints poorly during its first year, it can be replaced or returned under the terms on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if a person would help.
