Frequently Asked Questions

The printer sits across the room on Wi-Fi — how do I know when toner is really low?

The MF4570dw will warn you early, and early warnings are cautious by design: the machine estimates from page counts and coverage, not by weighing the cartridge. Treat the first low-toner message as a reminder to order, not a stop sign — most cartridges keep printing well past it. The reliable signal is on the paper: when text turns visibly pale across every job, the cartridge is genuinely near its end. Rocking it gently side to side redistributes the remaining toner and often buys back days of clean output.

Does printing wirelessly from laptops and phones change how long the cartridge lasts?

No. Whether a page arrives over Wi-Fi, from a phone, or from the one computer cabled nearby, the MF4570dw prints it with the same toner from the same Canon 128 cartridge. This cartridge is rated for 2,100 pages at roughly 5% coverage, and wireless convenience changes nothing about that figure — it only changes where you can stand when you press print.

Is this the right cartridge for the imageCLASS MF4570dw?

Yes. This listing is the Canon 128 black toner cartridge for the Canon imageCLASS MF4570dw — the model that pairs automatic two-sided printing with built-in wireless networking. The wireless and duplex features change how jobs reach the machine and how paper moves through it; the cartridge it takes is the single Canon 128, covering prints, copies and faxes alike.

Honestly, how does $26.19 for 2,100 pages stack up?

It works out to about 1.25 cents per page, and we will say plainly that a lone cartridge is the priciest per-page route in this family — multi-cartridge listings bring that figure down for people who already know their volume. The single at $26.19 suits the way most MF4570dw owners actually buy: the printer lives wherever the Wi-Fi reaches, usage is steady but modest, and one cartridge every several months is all it needs.

Where should the spare live if the printer is nowhere near a supply closet?

Right next to the printer, ideally — a wireless machine tucked in a corner or a back office is exactly the one nobody checks until it stops. Keep the spare sealed in its bag, stored flat somewhere dry and out of direct sun. Toner is a dry powder, so a sealed cartridge waits on the shelf without drying out or expiring the way liquid ink can; it will print like new when its turn comes.

What cover do I get, and how quickly can a replacement reach me?

The cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns; if it leaks, streaks or fails early, the replacement and return process is spelled out on our shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so a fresh cartridge is rarely more than a few days away, and our support team is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
