Frequently Asked Questions
Eight cartridges is a lot of toner — what kind of operation justifies this set?
One where the imageRUNNER fleet is fed from a central store: a facilities team supplying several GPR-23 machines, a copy centre, or a single production machine whose monthly meter reads in the tens of thousands. At that scale, toner stops being a per-incident purchase and becomes a stocked consumable — which is exactly the buying pattern this set is priced for.
What is the per-cartridge maths on a box this size?
Eight cartridges for $452.51 averages about $56.56 a cartridge, below the 4-piece set's average of roughly $58.88 — a modest step per unit that adds up across a box of eight and across a year of reorders. The cartridges themselves are the standard family units: black rated up to 26,000 pages, each colour up to 14,000.
How do we keep stock this deep from becoming a mess?
Three habits: store sealed boxes in one labelled place, oldest stock to the front; log the date each cartridge goes into a machine, so consumption per colour becomes visible; reorder when the shelf drops to the last full family rather than the last cartridge. Deep stock fails through disorganisation, not through toner going off.
Can one set supply more than one machine?
Yes — GPR-23 cartridges are standard units, not tied to a single device. A store cupboard holding this set can feed any imageRUNNER on the GPR-23 family, which is precisely how central stores work: cartridges are drawn by whichever machine calls for them, and the family's class yields (black 26,000, colours 14,000 each) make the draw rate predictable.
How does a set this size work as a budget line?
It turns toner into one planned purchase instead of a drip of emergency orders. A department can put the $452.51 against a quarter's copying budget, know the shelf covers the family's black (GPR-23 black) and all three colours (GPR-23C, GPR-23M, GPR-23Y), and measure actual consumption at the next stock count.
What cover do we get on a bulk purchase?
The same per-cartridge cover as always: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every compatible cartridge in the box, with support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Bulk pricing changes the unit cost, never the warranty — and we ship from IL, PA, GA or CA, so the box travels from the nearest warehouse.
