Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answer first: is $26.19 a fair price for a 2,100-page cartridge?

We will not pretend this is the cheapest way to buy Canon 128 toner — at roughly 1.25 cents per page, a single cartridge carries the highest per-page cost in this family, and the multi-packs below exist precisely to fix that. What the single does buy you is a low total outlay and no shelf commitment: one cartridge, 2,100 rated pages, and no money tied up in spares. For a light-use machine, that trade is often the right one.

How long will 2,100 pages actually last in a home office?

At the standard 5% coverage rating, think in months: a FAXPHONE or small imageCLASS that prints 100 pages a month can run this cartridge for well over a year and a half, and at 250 pages a month you are still looking at roughly eight months. Pages heavy with graphics, logos and shaded forms finish it sooner; plain letters, faxes and invoices stretch it further.

The "toner low" message is showing but prints still look dark — swap now or keep going?

Keep going. The low warning is the printer's estimate, not an empty reading, and there is usually useful toner left after it appears. Gently rocking the cartridge side to side redistributes the powder and often restores even coverage for a good while longer. Replace it when text turns visibly faint or streaky — that is the real end of the cartridge, not the warning.

Is this the right cartridge for my machine?

This is a compatible replacement for the Canon 128 cartridge used in Canon imageCLASS and FAXPHONE printers that use the Canon 128 cartridge. The simplest check is the cartridge coming out: if its label reads 128, this is the match. The swap is the one you already know — open the cover, pull the old unit straight out, slide this one in until it seats, and close up. No tools and no settings to change.

If the cartridge fails or prints badly, what happens?

Every cartridge we sell carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so an early failure, a leak or persistently poor output does not leave you out of pocket. The full terms sit on our shipping & returns page. Contact us, tell us what the pages look like, and we will make it right.

How quickly will it reach me, and can I talk to someone if I need help?

We ship from four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — and your order leaves from the one closest to you, which keeps delivery times short. Questions about fit, an order, or a cartridge already installed are answered by a real person Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
