Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs the biggest cartridge in the TN920 family?

Printers that never seem to stop: billing runs, dispatch paperwork, busy department machines where a toner warning always lands at the worst moment. The TN920UXXL is the family's highest-capacity cartridge, built so that changing toner becomes a rare event rather than a recurring interruption.

How does the UXXL tier differ from the XL and XXL?

Each step up this family — standard, XL, XXL, then UXXL — stretches the distance between cartridge changes, and the UXXL is the top step. It fits exactly the same printers and the same drum as the smaller tiers; what changes is simply how long the printer keeps printing before it asks for more toner.

What does fewer changeovers actually save?

Time and continuity. Every swap is a paused print queue and someone's interrupted morning; with the family's largest cartridge loaded, long jobs run to completion and the low-toner warning stays away far longer. For a machine with a queue of people waiting on it, that matters more than the price difference between tiers.

Which printers take the TN920UXXL?

The UXXL is made for the HL-L5210DN, HL-L5210DW, HL-L5210DWT, HL-L5215DW, HL-L6210DW, HL-L6210DWT, HL-L6217DW, HL-L6310DW, HL-L6415DW, HL-L6415DWT, HL-EX415DW, DCP-L5510DN, MFC-L5710DN, MFC-L5710DW, MFC-L5715DW, MFC-L5717DW, MFC-L5915DW, MFC-L6810DW and MFC-L6915DW. It prints through the platform's separate DR920 drum unit, and because all tiers share the same fit, moving up to UXXL needs no other change to the printer.

Do I have to think about the drum with a cartridge this size?

Only occasionally. The toner sits in the separate, long-life DR920 drum unit, which is replaced on its own schedule — far less often than toner. Change the cartridge when the printer asks, and the drum only when print quality or the printer's drum warning says so.

What protection does the top tier carry?

The same as the rest of the family: it is warranted for one year, and returns are free during the first year — full details on our shipping & returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, with support Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This TN920UXXL Toner Cartridge

The TN920UXXL is the flagship of this family: the highest-capacity cartridge the platform takes, priced at $59.43. It exists for printers whose output is measured in stacks rather than pages — load one, and toner stops being part of the weekly conversation. The rest of the range is on our Brother page.
