Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do I get in this TN760 2-pack?

Two full TN760 high-yield cartridges, each rated at up to 3,000 pages — 6,000 pages of printing in the box. They are the same cartridges sold singly, boxed as a pair: one goes into the printer now, the other stays sealed as the spare that ends the mid-job toner emergency.

Which printers does this TN760 2-pack fit?

Both cartridges fit the same printers as the single TN760: the HL-L2325DW, HL-L2350DW, HL-L2370DW, HL-L2370DW XL, HL-L2390DW, HL-L2395DW, the DCP-L2550DW, and the MFC-L2690DW, MFC-L2710DW, MFC-L2717DW, MFC-L2750DW and MFC-L2750DW XL. The MFC-L2730DW uses the same cartridge.

How does the pair price compare with two singles?

Two singles bought separately come to $58.10; this pack is $39.61, so each cartridge works out to $19.81 instead of $29.05. Per page, the pair prints at about 0.66¢. Nothing about the cartridge changes — the saving is purely for taking two at once.

Will the spare cartridge go bad sitting on my shelf?

No. Toner is dry powder in a sealed cartridge; kept in its bag, flat and out of direct sunlight, a spare stays ready for a long time. Unlike ink, there is nothing to dry out. Store it near the printer and the next change takes minutes instead of days of waiting on a delivery.

Is the second cartridge a different, cheaper version?

No — identical cartridges, identical 3,000-page rating, identical chip and fit. The pack exists because most owners of this platform print steadily enough that a spare is a certainty. If you are comparing, the 4-pack carries the same cartridge at a still lower per-unit price.

How does the pair line up with my drum's lifespan?

Neatly. The DR730 drum unit is rated at 12,000 pages, which is four TN760 cartridges. This 2-pack is half a drum's life: fit one pair, then the next pair, and by the time the fourth cartridge empties the printer will be asking about the drum — the two consumables stay in a predictable rhythm.

Can I split the pair between two printers?

Yes, if both machines are on the fit list above. One cartridge in the HL at one desk and one in the MFC at another is a perfectly good use of the pack — the cartridges are standard TN760s with no pairing or registration between them.

What if my printer says the first cartridge is empty way too early?

Check the output before the message. The low-toner warning follows the page counter, not a physical gauge, so pages often stay solid well past it. Rock the cartridge side to side to redistribute the powder, and swap to the second cartridge only when print genuinely fades — then reset the counter as the menu directs.

Does the pack change anything about fitting?

Nothing at all. Each cartridge clicks into the DR730 drum the same way a single does: assembly out, lever down, old cartridge out, new one in until it clicks, assembly back. The pair just means the next fitting starts with a box already in the building.

What cover do these cartridges carry?

Each one has a 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — terms are on the shipping & returns page. Using a compatible cartridge cannot void your Brother printer warranty under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
