Frequently Asked Questions

Why do owners of this platform keep a second cartridge in the building?

Because toner never runs out at a convenient moment. This 2-pack puts one TN760 in the printer and one sealed spare beside it, so the "Replace Toner" message becomes a two-minute swap instead of a stopped office. For a machine printing every day, that insurance is the real product.

What printers does the pair serve?

The same set as every TN760: the HL-L2325DW, HL-L2350DW, HL-L2370DW, HL-L2370DW XL, HL-L2390DW, HL-L2395DW, the DCP-L2550DW, and the MFC-L2690DW, MFC-L2710DW, MFC-L2717DW, MFC-L2750DW and MFC-L2750DW XL. The MFC-L2730DW uses the same cartridge.

What is the running cost across the whole pack?

The pack is $39.61 for up to 6,000 pages — about 0.66¢ per page, against 0.97¢ buying singles one at a time. Each cartridge in the pair effectively costs $19.81. Step up to the 4-pack and the rate tightens to roughly 0.51¢ if your volume justifies four at once.

Two printers, one pack — does that work?

It does. The cartridges are independent units; nothing ties them to each other or to the first machine they meet. Fit one in each printer, or run both through a single busy machine — the yield and the fit are the same either way.

How far ahead does a pair take a typical small office?

At 400 pages a month, 6,000 pages is well over a year of printing. At 1,000 a month, about half a year. That horizon is why the pair is the platform's most popular shape: long enough to forget about toner, short enough that the spare is never ancient stock.

The first cartridge shows low toner after a few weeks — faulty?

Very unlikely. On a busy machine a few weeks can genuinely be a few thousand pages, and the counter warning also arrives early by design. Judge by the page: if text is still dense and even, keep printing; if it fades, rock the cartridge to level the powder, and only then reach for the spare.

Does each cartridge need its own counter reset?

Each fitting is its own event, yes — when you seat the second cartridge months later, accept the printer's prompt or run the toner reset from the menu so the new counter starts clean. The drum counter is separate and keeps counting across both cartridges toward its 12,000-page life.

How does the TN730 fit into the picture?

The TN730 is the standard-yield sibling at about 1,200 pages. This pack is the high-yield route: two 3,000-page cartridges. Owners who run the numbers usually stay with the TN760 — fewer swaps and a lower cost per page — but both cartridges fit the same printers if you ever mix.

Where should the spare live until I need it?

Sealed, flat, in a dry cupboard near the printer — not on top of the machine where heat rises, and not in a damp storeroom. Toner powder is stable for a long time in its packaging, so the spare you fit next year prints like the one you fit today.

What if one of the two cartridges has a problem?

Each cartridge is covered individually by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a year under the terms on the shipping & returns page. A fault in one never strands the other — fit the spare, contact us, and we sort the faulty unit out.
