Frequently Asked Questions

What does five cartridges do to my cost per page?

It pushes it to the lowest point in the TN450 range: $61.67 buys 13,000 rated pages, which works out to $12.33 per cartridge and roughly 0.47 cents per page. Against five single purchases of the single TN450 at $27.13, you save $73.98 — more than the price of this entire pack.

Why is this pack listed under both TN420 and TN450?

The two codes describe one cartridge family in two fill levels: TN420 at 1,200 pages and TN450 at 2,600. Printer manuals from different years cite one or the other, so the listing carries both names. The cartridges inside are the 2,600-page high-yield version.

Which printers will run through this 5-pack?

The platform list is DCP-7060D, DCP-7065DN, HL-2130, HL-2132, HL-2220, HL-2230, HL-2240, HL-2240D, HL-2242D, HL-2250DN, HL-2270DW, HL-2275DW, HL-2280DW, Intellifax 2840, Intellifax 2940, MFC-7240, MFC-7360N, MFC-7365DN and MFC-7460DN. A workplace running several of these models can draw every machine's toner from this one box, which simplifies ordering and shelf stock considerably.

Will the last cartridge still be good after sitting for a year or more?

Yes, provided it stays sealed. Keep the unused units in their packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Toner powder does not dry out like ink, and a properly stored compatible cartridge prints at full quality long after purchase — exactly why bulk buying works on this platform.

How many drums will 13,000 pages of toner go through?

Roughly one. The drum is rated around 12,000 pages, so plan on a single drum change somewhere across this pack's life — the printer will tell you when, and the swap is independent of the toner changes. Many offices pair this pack with one spare drum and then forget about supplies for a year.

What cover comes with the pack?

A 1-year warranty plus 1-year free returns on every cartridge, per our shipping and returns policy. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is on hand 9 AM–5 PM CST.
