A step above the FAX-2840 and FAX-2845, the Brother FAX-2940 adds true scanning at 600x600 dpi and raises fax memory to 500 pages. It still prints, copies, and faxes at a steady 20 ppm with Super G3 33.6k transmission, feeding originals through a larger 30-sheet ADF, and shows its status on an LCD display. Duplex is manual through the driver over a USB 2.0 connection, and it uses Brother TN420 or TN450 toner with the DR420 drum.
