Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy the three colors together instead of one at a time?

Price, mostly. The cyan, magenta, and yellow TN439 cartridges are $37.48 apiece, so the trio bought separately comes to $112.44; this set is $75.45, saving you $36.99. It also means all three colors are the same top-yield tier and roughly the same age, which keeps color balance predictable instead of patching one faded color at a time.

My black cartridge still has plenty left — can I install just the colors?

Yes, and that is exactly what this set is for. It contains cyan, magenta, and yellow only, so a healthy black cartridge — of any tier — stays in the machine untouched. Plenty of offices run a top-tier black for documents and refresh the colors as a group when output starts looking tired.

Do all three colors have to go in at the same time?

No. Install whichever color the printer is asking for and keep the other two sealed as spares, or change all three together for a clean slate — both approaches are fine. Each slot is independent, and an unopened cartridge loses nothing by waiting.

Which printers does this color set fit?

The three cartridges are standard TN439 colors made for HL-L9310CDW, HL-L9310CDWT, HL-L9310CDWTT and MFC-L9570CDW. They can be mixed freely with TN433, TN436, or TN439 cartridges in the black slot.

What does 9,000 pages per color mean for color-heavy printing?

Each color is rated at 9,000 standard pages, the highest yield available for this platform. A team printing a few thousand color pages a month is looking at the better part of a year from one set on typical business documents. Full-page photos and heavy graphics will shorten that, as they would with any cartridge.

How does ordering and support work if I have a problem?

Your set ships from the closest Clever Supplies warehouse — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California. Every cartridge in it carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free within that year; the process is detailed on our shipping and returns page. Live support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
