Frequently Asked Questions

Why pick the 9,000-page TN439C over the smaller cyan cartridges?

Cyan is quietly one of the hardest-working colors in an office printer — it is in skies, charts, logos, links, and most shades of blue and green. The TN439C carries a rated 9,000 pages at $37.48, about 0.42 cents per page, so it needs changing far less often than the 4,000-page TN433C or the 6,500-page TN436C. Fewer swaps also means fewer interruptions in the middle of a print run.

Do the color cartridges run out as fast as the black one?

Usually not, but it depends entirely on what you print. An office producing mostly contracts and invoices may go through two or three black cartridges for every cyan, while a team printing brochures and presentations can drain colors first. The printer tracks each color separately, so you only ever replace the one that is actually empty.

Can I change just the cyan and leave the other cartridges in place?

Absolutely. The cyan slot is completely independent of black, magenta, and yellow. Pop the old cyan out, slide the TN439C in, and the printer carries on with whatever the other cartridges have left — there is no need to replace colors in a group.

Which printers is this cyan cartridge made for?

The TN439C is designed for HL-L9310CDW, HL-L9310CDWT, HL-L9310CDWTT and MFC-L9570CDW. Any of those machines can take this top-tier cyan even if the rest of the printer is currently running lower-tier cartridges.

How should I store a spare cyan cartridge until I need it?

Keep it sealed in its bag, flat, and out of direct sunlight in a normal office-temperature room. Toner does not dry out the way ink does, so a spare bought today will print just as well many months from now. Avoid garages or storage units that get very hot or cold.

How fast will my order get here, and who do I call if something is wrong?

Orders leave from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California — gets the cartridge to you soonest. If anything about the cartridge disappoints you, it is covered for a full year, returns included at no cost. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
